Corvum is a legal technology company headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. Corvum offers law firms cloud-based software that handles various communications tasks including VoIP phone calling, SMS texting and IP faxing.[2]

History[edit]

Corvum was established in 2017 by Jason Baumer and Graham Nelson-Zutter, long time collaborators, who felt that the communications tools commonly used by law firms were too difficult to use and were missing features that lawyers need to run an efficient practice. Corvum launched VoIP phone and IP fax services for law firms, focussing on responsive customer support and building features tailored for legal professionals.[3]

In August 2018, Corvum received funding from National Research Council of Canada (NRC) Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP) to support Corvum’s innovative approach to geographic internet route optimisation for Voice-over-IP (VoIP) communications.

In April 2019, Corvum was acknowledged on the 2019 Emerging Rockets list for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) companies in British Columbia. Ready to Rocket is a business recognition program for British Columbia's tech sector that showcases the Revenue Growth Leaders of Tomorrow.[4]

In September 2019, Corvum received financial support from both the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) and Trade Commissioner’s CanExport program to accelerate Corvum’s expansion of services across North America.

In October 2019, Corvum launched it’s integration with Clio, the largest cloud-based practice management software platform.[5] Client phone calls, and billable time from calls, are automatically imported into Clio Manage. [6]

In February 2020, at the American Bar Association (ABA) Tech Show[7], Corvum launched it’s SMS texting service for law firms, which enabled both web and iOS app access to SMS services. [8] Corvum’s texting service also automatically posts client text messages to Clio Manage. }}[9]

In April 2020, Corvum was acknowledged for a second time on the 2020 Emerging Rockets list for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) companies in British Columbia. Ready to Rocket is a business recognition program for British Columbia's tech sector that showcases the Revenue Growth Leaders of Tomorrow.[10]
