GlobeStar Systems is a multinational communications company that develops and sells communications integration software, which monitors, captures, and manages alarms from various systems.[1]

Headquartered in Toronto, Canada, GlobeStar Systems belongs to the Tel-e Group.

History

GlobeStar Systems’ latest release (2014) is Connexall 6.0, an event notification management solution scaled to meet the needs of large healthcare organizations. Connexall solutions are designed to improve patient care and safety while allowing organizations to better leverage existing technologies [1].

GlobeStar Systems was founded by David Tavares in 1992. The name “GlobeStar” originated from the company’s intent to be a global company and that GlobeStar sold NorStar equipment.[2] At that time, GlobeStar Systems’ main unique advantage over its competitors was the invention of the application GolfStar, which allowed the use of tee-off (booking by phone) in golf camps. Besides this product, GlobeStar Systems also developed ACD-Star, a product that queued phone calls into a small call centre environment.[3]

In 1999, GlobeStar Systems moved from its office in Calgary to Toronto. Sister companies Tel-e Connect Systems Ltd. and Tel-e Technologies moved to Toronto shortly thereafter.[3]

In 1999, Connexall was created. The name “Connexall” was derived from its purpose of connecting all the systems.[citation needed]

Originally, Connexall was sold under an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) brand name called “Austco EasyTouch” through the Austco company until 2002, when GlobeStar Systems started selling its software as “Connexall”.[3]
