Biography[edit]
CouRage was born and raised in New Jersey. CouRage began his esports career in 2007 after discovering the Halo pro circuit. He developed a relationship with Chris Puckett (another Call of Duty commentator) which ultimately got him an internship at Major League Gaming in summer 2014. On November 5th, 2015 CouRage announced that he would be leaving MLG to join the Call of Duty World League presentation team as a Host/Commentator.[1] CouRage had finally decided that on February 23rd, 2018 that March 2nd would be his last day at Major League Gaming and that he would go on to pursue a full time streaming career and to be a content creator.[2]
In March of 2018, he would join OpTic Gaming as a content creator and in November of 2018 CouRage and OpTic parted ways.[3]
In May of 2019, CouRage announced that he will be joining 100 Thieves as a content creator. [4] The announcement was spoiled by Ninja, as he revealed to his thousands of views of the information weeks before the official announcement.
Fortnite[edit]
Fortnite: Battle Royale - the ultimate battle royale experience (as CouRage calls the game) is the main game that CouRage plays and streams. The rising popularity of this game has given CouRage's channel and brand exponential growth as it has with lots of other streamers. Fortnite has also asked CouRage to commentate for their competitive tournaments.
Connor[edit]
Due to the multiplayer nature of Fortnite, the game allows for people across the globe to connect and squad up in matches. CouRage randomly queued up with a player with the username Con1234567890 and their partnership emulated an older brother and younger brother. CouRage has helped Connor grow his channel and their videos and streams together are fan favorites. Now known as "the duo" CouRage and Connor team up with each other and often bring other streamers along for Squads matches and all of CouRage's friends and fans thoroughly enjoy playing with Connor.[5]
Girthquake[edit]
With the help of thier fans, CouRage and Fortnite Streamer TimtheTatman developed an inside joke called "the Girthquake." On the CouRage and Nadeshot show[6] Tim and CouRage explain[7] that the Girthquake is their unofficial title as they are both heavier set gentlemen (that's where the girth comes from) and whenever they rumble around in Fortnite they are like an earthquake that takes out enemy players. It is a fun way for them to engage their audiences as they are both often yelling it out as a battle cry. Fans also have sent applications to join the girthquake. Marcel (BasicallyIDoWork) likes to think he was an original member, but he is not that girthy and he is a bot, so he is not a member.
