Cova Castle are an English indie rock band, formed in 2018 in Newcastle upon Tyne. The band consists of members Oliver Marks (vocals/rhythm guitar), Keiren Stimpson (lead guitar) and Patrick Soulsby (drums). The band have released one single I Said She Said, recorded and produced at metropolitan recording, mixing and mastering and was released on 15th February 2019. [1]

History

Formation, name and early shows (2018-2019)

The band was created by current members and previous band mates Oliver Marks and Keiren Stimpson when old friend Patrick Soulsby joined in late 2018. The trio named the band after Castello Cova in Milan, Italy, translating the name in English to Cova Castle.

Initially the band played small shows around Sunderland and Newcastle upon Tyne before releasing their debut single to premiere on Spotify on 15th February 2019. The band then go on to release their debut single with a launch show at The Cluny in their hometown of Newcastle upon Tyne. All proceeds from the show raising money for Northumbria University Sport Foundation.
