CoverWallet (Business Insurance)
CoverWallet is an Small Business Insurance platform, founded in 2013 by Inaki Berenguer and Rashmi Melgiri. CoverWallet is headquartered in New York City and has an additional office in Madrid.[1][2]
CoverWallet provides a concierge service for business owners to buy and manage their business insurance, all online. The company aims to reinvent the way people deal with insurance, making it an easier and more transparent process.[3]

CoverWallet co-founders Inaki Berenguer and Rashmi Melgiri met while they were in business school at MIT Sloan School of Management. Inaki went on to found the startups Pixable and Klink, which were acquired by SingTel and Fuze respectively.[4][5]
Inaki and Rashmi both saw firsthand the difficulties that small businesses face when it comes to procuring and managing insurance. As a result in 2013, they decided to create an innovative product that simplifies the complexities of insurance and provides a simple digital experience.[2]
The CoverWallet platform went live in early 2016 and welcomed Jim Ermilio as President of Insurance later that year.[6]

CoverWallet was named one of the “Best Entrepreneurship Companies in America” by Entrepreneur Magazine, as part of their 2016 Entrepreneurs 360™ List.[7][8]
In 2017, CoverWallet received the award for “Best Insurtech Solution”at the 2017 Benzinga Global FinTech Awards.[9]
