Craig Melrose is a leader in operations excellence and an expert on large-scale Industry 4.0 programs.[1][2] He is the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Digital Transformation Solutions at PTC (software company) (formerly Parametric Technology), which he joined in June of 2019.[3]

Melrose attended the University of Kentucky, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1995.[4]
Career[edit]
At PTC, Melrose and his team build operationally transformative solutions that incorporate PTC's technologies, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Industrial Internet of Things (IoT), and Augmented Reality (AR) operationally interconnecting clients and their customers. In this role, he interacts with and guides customers to roll out tailored Industry 4.0 programs developed at scale, based on their unique operational excellence goals.[5]
Before joining PTC, Melrose worked at McKinsey & Company for 20 years as an operations and digital transformation expert, principal, and a partner.[2] [3] [4] [6]
Beginning at McKinsey & Company, and continuing at PTC, Melrose contributed collaborative articles and research on the best practices of digital transformation in business operations.
Melrose began his career as a vehicle production engineer at Shellbody, Toyota Motor Corp working on the improvement of lean production systems, before joining McKinsey & Company.[2][4]
