Craig M. Swanson is an American entrepreneur specializing in online education. In 2010 he co-founded CreativeLive with Chase Jarvis.
Career[edit]
Tech Support[edit]
In 1988, at the age of 18 Swanson founded Swanson Tech Support and worked as a tech consultant for 6 years before founding CreativeTechs in 1994.[2] From 1995 to 2010 Swanson grew CreativeTechs to over a million dollars in sales and in December of 2010 he sold CreativeTechs to his former employees. [3][4]
CreativeLive[edit]
In 2010 after experimenting with online video training at CreativeTechs[5][6] Swanson co-founded CreativeLive with Chase Jarvis.[7][8] Over the next 5 years CreativeLive grew to over 2,000,000 users[9] and received an estimated $58.8 million in funding.[10][11] In 2015 Swanson left CreativeLive, saying in a blog post: "Today, I’m announcing that I am graduating from CreativeLive to pursue the next chapter in my entrepreneurial journey."[12]
Digital Product Studio[edit]
In 2016 Swanson co-founded Digital Product Studio with George Varanakis and Aaron Andersen. Digital Product Studio invests in, develops, launches, and helps grow education membership platforms for the best instructors on the Internet.[13][14]
