Craven LMS High School is an aided[clarification needed] high school in Kollam district of Kerala, India. It is affiliated to the Church of South India in Kollam.

History[edit]

In 1910, the school was started by Rev. Fr. W.J. Edmunds. In 1922, the English Medium School, the Prague form of the present high school, was established. He found the money from his best friend, an English woman named Miss Craven.[1] Money was raised from generous natives. It became a high school in 1939 under the leadership of Justice Daniel. He was the first native manager of the school. There are currently about 170 students in classes five to ten. The school is administered by the South Kerala Diocese of the Church of South India.

In connection with this, the Edmunds Hostel was set up to accommodate poor students. In 1956, it was converted into a college hostel.

Facilities[edit]

The school is located on five acres of land. It has a computer lab, high-tech[clarification needed] classrooms and a library with about 7,000 books.[2]
