Cricfit is a Cricket & Fitness Eco System founded by renowned sports broadcaster and journalist Mikkhail Vaswani in 2015. The website provides news, features, and interviews about all cricket matches and tournaments going across the length and breadth of the earth.
At present, Cricfit has diversified into many verticals. They run Cricfit Academy in Lokhandwala in Mumbai where they train 100 young kids. Two students of the academy have represented Mumbai in age-group cricket. They also run a pan India cricket league – Cricfit Premier League for age-group cricketers endorsed by Hindi cinema actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood.
History
Cricfit is one of the fastest-growing cricket websites in India. Launched in 2015 to reach out to all like-minded people, Cricfit’s content includes daily updates from all happenings in the sport from across the globe, features written by some of the best young minds in the country, and interviews of cricketers from all cricketing nations.
Our founder and CEO – Mikkhail Vaswani, who is a practising journalist and a sports broadcaster, took his passion to the next level by creating this platform to connect with all lovers of the game. The term ‘Cricfit’ is an attempt to bring two of the most important aspects of human life – cricket and fitness – together and serve the common citizens.
Content and Contributors
Cricfit’s content is procured from a variety of sources; the site accepts and publishes articles contributed by its community of writers. Cricfit publishes approximately 35-40 articles each day and they are written by some of the best young minds in the country.
Cricfit has also hosted eminent personalities from the cricketing fraternity for live interactions. The likes of Aakash Chopra, Dinesh Karthik, Robin Uthappa, Grant Elliot, Hanuma Vihari, to name a few, have appeared on Cricfit live chat segment – Dial C for Cricfit.
Reach
The site’s monthly user base varies from 6-7 lakhs. Cricfit also has a partnership with Dailyhunt, which publishes the website’s content on their platform – website and mobile app.
Cricfit Academy
Cricfit Academy was founded on October 27th, 2015 with an aim and vision to nurture talent and transform budding cricketers into professionals. The academy focuses on cricket and the fitness of the individuals. Cricfit Academy trains kids from the age of 5 years and above up to 20 years in both girls’ and boys’ categories. The academy also offers practice sessions under the lights. The academy is proud of Sarah Muhammad Sameer and Janamejay Pratap Singh, who have represented Mumbai in age-group cricket. Cricfit Academy has also expanded its work into schools and now works extensively with pre-schools, primary, secondary state & independent schools in Mumbai. We have tied up with Jamnabai Bai Narsee International School, JVPD, Juhu and train their students for Cricket and Fitness.
Cricfit Premier League
Cricfit Premier League has completed two editions - Mumbai & Nashik. Over 1500 junior cricketers – both boys and girls – participated in a mini-IPL kind of tournament. Backed by renowned actor Sonu Sood, the organisers are determined to take the tournament to small cities across India to provide them a platform to showcase their talents. Cricfit Premier League also plans to launch CPL One Day Championships across 8 zones in Mumbai.
