Historia[edit]

Crimson Day was formed in Tampere, Finland in 2013. The band had been active for some time before, but after some lineup changes the group decided to change the name as well. Soon after the changes, lead guitarist Ari Balzar and vocalist Valtteri Heiskanen joined the band. The group recorded and released their first EP, titled Crimson Day, in the same year.

In 2014 guitarist and song-writer Jyri Murto decided to leave the band, and was replaced by Jesse Liukkonen. The band begun recording their first studio album, Order of the Shadows, which was released in late 2015 via German record label Iron Shield Records.[1]

Soon after the release of Order of the Shadows the band's vocalist Valtteri left the band. Liukkonen asked his friend Lassi Landström to step in and sing for an upcoming show, which Landström agreed to. After the show the band unanimously decided Landström was their new lead singer. The group started writing new material, and released two new singles in the autumn of 2016.[2]

Crimson Day spent the year 2017 writing and recording new material and performing live. The band's second studio album, At The Mountains Of Madness, was released independently in January 2018, after which the band started their first Finnish tour.[3]
