Worldburn is a Finnish heavy metal band from Turku, formed in 2017, and currently composed of vocalist-bassist Arttu Häyrinen, drummer Mikko Aaltonen, guitarist Osvaldo Trejo, and guitarist-keyboardist Antti Sorsa.

The group's history reaches back to the beginning of 2010 when the members played under various names, having some fluctuation in the style and line-up.

In the original line-up of Worldburn, Sami Ruohonen was playing guitars with Sorsa. The only member change in the band's history was when Sami Ruohonen was replaced by Mexican-born Osvaldo Trejo, who quickly became part of the group's look and sound.

The band describes the style of their music as semi-melodic death metal, drawing influences from In Flames, Iced Earth, Death, Slayer, among other groups.

Worldburn is known for their skillful live performance and ambiguous style. This means both the strength and weakness of Worldburn's operation is that it has not clearly constrained its style in any specific sub-genre of death metal, which has led to quite versatile responses by reviewers in the scene. In 2022 their album Beholder was chosen in the TOP-10 of the year's metal records in Tuonela Magazine's Annual Staff Picks.[1]

The themes of their lyrical material, mostly written by the frontman Häyrinen, deal with the disorder of present society, including war, corruption, pollution, digital crime, and excessive surveillance.

All the recordings have been released under Finnish record label Voodoo Records.
