Critical Velocity is an action driving game released by Namco in 2005. It was exclusively released for the PlayStation 2 in Japan only.

Gameplay[edit]

The game makes use of an open-world setting, with various story missions and side missions to complete. Completing these story missions will open new areas for the player to roam around. The game is set in the United Cities of Falconia, which is divided into Priyo City, Mt. Finback, a desert area and a resort area, which includes the famous Seaside Route 765 from Namco's Ridge Racer series.

Plot[edit]

The game's story follows two Stormers, Gordon and Saul. A Stormer's job is to help people who are in need.

Development[edit]

In 2004, the game's title was known as Rune Chaser.[1]
