The Cynical Party of Greece-Diogenis (Κυνικό Κόμμα Ελλάδος-Διογένης, IPA: [cynikoˈ koˈma elaˈðos ðioʝeˈnis]) is a joke political party in Greece.

History[edit]

"Others build a metro to link the airport and the port. We will bring the airport inside the port." Poster advertising the party's ambition to build a new international airport in Piraeus if elected. This and several other posters began appearing in April 2023.

Not much is known about the party. It was probably created at some point after the 2019 Greek legislative election. The oldest reference to the party appeared on June 16, 2020, in an article about frivolous political parties.[1] In the run up to the 2023 Greek legislative election several humorous KKE-D posters began appearing throughout Athens asking for people's votes, thus implying that the party will participate in the election. Ultimately, the party did not take part in the election[2] , though several comments on the election were made through the party's twitter page, including several polls edited so that the party appears to be gaining seats and pictures of the party's ballots.[3]
