Czech Literary Bibliography

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Czech Literary Bibliography (CLB) is a large research infrastructure[1] for literary Czech studies and other related humanities (e.g. philology, philosophy, history, journalism). Its objective is to publish online bibliographical and other knowledge databases mapping out literature in the Czech lands and the circulation of Czech literature abroad from the beginning of the National Revival to the present, regardless of language, format or medium.

It has been operating from the Institute of Czech Literature of the Czech Academy of Sciences continuously since 1947. As of 2021, the CLB databases include over 2.2 million entries.

Bibliographical databases

The CLB includes nine bibliographical databases covering key topics of Czech literature:

  • Retrospective Bibliography
  • Current Bibliography
  • Biographical Database
  • Literary Web Bibliography
  • Literary Exile Bibliography
  • Literary Awards Database
  • Book Series Database
  • Database of Recorded Periodicals

Research Infrastructure

With its operations dating back to 1947, the CLB was officially declared a Czech government-recognised research infrastructure in 2016.[2]
