DATANEO is an enterprise software company that develops an AI-native operating system for businesses. Its platform is designed to unify finance, customer relationship management (CRM), human resources (HR), projects, operations, and support into a single intelligent system, using an AI reasoning engine called NeoMind™ and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to coordinate data and workflows across multiple tools and services.

History

DATANEO was founded in 2024 by French–British data scientist and entrepreneur Olivier Khatib. Before founding the company, Khatib spent around a decade building data, automation and machine-learning systems for large organisations in banking, insurance, media and asset management through his consultancy, London Data Consulting (LDC). During that period he worked on projects for institutions including HSBC, AXA, Bank of America, BNP Paribas and Clear Channel, focusing on process automation, quantitative modelling and cloud-based data platforms.

Across these deployments, Khatib observed recurring issues: fragmented enterprise resource planning (ERP) environments, overlapping systems that did not share a common data model, and expensive integration projects that often failed to deliver end-to-end visibility. Seeing similar patterns across mid-sized and large companies, he founded DATANEO to provide a single AI-driven platform that could sit above, or replace, traditional ERP and line-of-business applications.

The company initially operated from London and Paris, later expanding activity to New York to be closer to financial, logistics and retail customers in North America.

Products and technology

DATANEO platform

The DATANEO platform is positioned as an AI-native enterprise operating system. It provides a suite of modules – such as Finance+, CRM+, HR+, Project+, Stock+, Support+ and Proposal+ – that share a common data model and reasoning layer. Organisations can either connect existing systems (such as CRM, HR or billing tools) or use DATANEO’s own modules as core applications.

The platform is designed to answer natural-language questions over live business data, for example:

  • “Where are we losing margin this month?”
  • “Which customers are most likely to churn next quarter?”
  • “What tasks are currently blocking project delivery?”
  • “How will our cash flow change if we adjust payment terms with key suppliers?”

The system combines data retrieval, forecasting and workflow automation, and can present recommendations or trigger actions such as task creation, escalations or approval flows.

NeoMind™

NeoMind™ is the AI reasoning engine at the core of the DATANEO platform. It aggregates structured and unstructured data from connected systems, maintains contextual state across modules, and uses large language models and other machine-learning components to generate explanations, forecasts and suggested actions. NeoMind is designed to provide traceable outputs, with links back to the underlying data and assumptions used in its reasoning.

Model Context Protocol (MCP)

DATANEO uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to connect AI components with external tools, databases and software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications. An MCP server acts as an intermediary layer, defining how models can request data or perform operations without bespoke point-to-point integrations for each system. Connections run in permissioned, time-bounded contexts, allowing companies to limit what data individual models can access while still enabling automation across systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Workday or internal APIs.

Architecture

DATANEO is built as a distributed, API-first system. Its services are primarily implemented using Node.js and TypeScript, with a relational data store such as PostgreSQL acting as the main transactional backbone. Product modules operate as microservices that share a common ontology and event bus, while NeoMind orchestrates reasoning and automation across them. The platform is offered as a software as a service (SaaS) product and can also integrate with customers’ existing cloud infrastructure.

Use cases

DATANEO is aimed mainly at mid-market and enterprise organisations that operate multiple disconnected systems. Typical use cases include:

  • Unifying financial, sales, HR and operational data into a single view
  • Automating routine internal processes such as approvals, reporting and hand-offs
  • Predicting cash flow, customer churn, supply-chain bottlenecks and project delays
  • Reducing manual work and integration costs by consolidating tools and workflows
  • Replacing or augmenting traditional ERP deployments with an AI-driven platform
