DHDK is a natural chemical derivative from Viscum coloratum leaves[1], a subspecies of mistletoe, where it acts as a plant metabolite. This chemical has been theorized to have great cancer fighting properties, especially among breast cancer[2] and lung cancer[3].[1]

Reasoning for DHDK being targeted for cancer treatment is its increased bioavailability, anti-tumor activity, and better stability[1] compared to Curcuma longa[4].
