Farshad Dehbozorgi is an Iranian American producer, DJ and remixer of various EDM genres, mainly progressive Hip-hop house, electro house and trance. He focuses primarily on progressive house and tech house style music. He has worked under the stage name DJ E5QUIRE.[1]
History[edit]
Initially known as DJ E5QUIRE, Farshad Dehbozorgi had his first hit in 2015 with the debut single "Bang" featurning Horsemen which was played on DJ Jazzy Jeff show on BBC Radio[2]. E5QUIRE soon created two other massive singles "Hollywood"[3] and the follow-up single "Always". "Hollywood" ranked in the top 100 Beatport Charts, and also did well in the top 50, entering at No. 44. "Always" also reached top 50.[4]
Dehbozorgi became widely known for the song "Always" with the duo SIIGHTS which includes Mia Fitz (the guitarist for Hozier (musician)) and Tony Etherson a Scottish musician. "Always" was placed in Hot New Dance Tracks playlist by Spotify and topped 350k plays. In October 2015 E5QUIRE, in collaboration with Horsemen, released a remix to Michael Woods London Baby on Woods sub-label of Armada Diffused Records. The remix made its way through the festival spectrum and was played by multiple big festival artists such as Morten.
In 2016 his remix to the popular song Stressed Out by 21 Pilots was placed in MAKJ[5], Chuckie[6], and Afrojack[7] playlist that quickly got the attention of the Chainsmokers who started playing his remix in their sets.
