Joseph Kapandula Jr (born May 9, 1993), professionally known as DJ Foxx Tha Roc, is a Zambian Disc jockey and Radio personality. He was born from Kabwe.[1]

Early life[edit]

Joseph Kapandula Jr was born in Kabwe, Zambia. He attended Monze Boarding High School.

Career[edit]

His debut single "Extreme" was released in 2019. His most streamed fourth single on Spotify, ''Busy Day'' was released in 2021.[2] In 2021, Joseph was featured in a BBC News publication which was shared on Twitter and Facebook by the British News company.

In 2022, South African vocalist Daliwonga who featured on DJ Maphorisa single, Izolo reacted to a post by Foxx which appreciated the South African singer.[3][4]

Foxx also released singles such as ''Boss'' (2020), and ''Nyash'' (2020) which all feature artists from Itezhi-Tezhi District.[5][6] His single Kotuzwa received airplay on Amazing Radio in the United States while his single Kotuzwa enjoyed airplay on Hot fm Zambia. Foxx has also worked with B'Flow on an Oxfam project which focused on equality and raised awareness on gender based violence. He has a music publishing deal with ONErpm[7]

Television[edit]

In 2015, Foxx was co-host of Prime TV Zambia entertainment show, The Full Package alongside Nathan Mbawa who was previously working with Muvi TV. Foxx found himself enjoying producing for Television and radio and soon started exploring producing music for himself.[8][9][10][11]
