DJ Mark Campbell

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Mark Andrew Campbell (born June 25, 1970) is an American DJ, musician and producer in the electronic dance genres of Breaks and House Music. He is currently signed to DJ Rap's record labels Propa Talent and Impropa Talent.

Biography

Born and raised in Seattle, Campbell started out as a solo artist in the synth-pop realm. Although his first album Clockwork went virtually unnoticed, it did gain him the attention of Chocolat Sasha, a local electronic band founded by Lance Hayes (a.k.a. DJDM) and Dan Dale. He soon earned a spot on their roster and proceeded to perform and compose with them for the next few years. After a decision to reorganize and change their name to Meat Distributors, the band shifted its focus to Industrial music and began gigging regularly around the Seattle area. After the band's breakup in the late 90s, his musical interests led him to the world of Electronica and dance music. In September 2004 he was signed to a dual record deal with Propa Talent (for his Breaks productions) and Impropa Talent (for his House releases).

Several of his songs have been heard in commercials and television programs around the world. Two of his songs, Stinger and Trucker's Choice, are used in the Xbox 360 game Forza Motorsport 2. In 2009 he collaborated with Lance Hayes on the song "X Track" which is used in Forza Motorsport 3.
