Adriana Ruppert, known as DJ Ruppert, is a German electronic music artist. Her top tracks include Twisted Impulses, Hmm, and The Damn Thing, which were ranked in Beatport’s top 100 lists. Ruppert’s music mainly consists of deep house, deep tech, and tech-house music.[1][2][3][4]

Early life[edit]

Ruppert had a childhood dream of learning music, and began to learn to play the piano.[5] She soon developed an interest in composing music.[6] She has an elder sister, Anca. Ruppert was very much into sports and arts since her childhood. She spent most of her time playing volleyball and participating in various sports competitions. She ended up as a music producer after graduation in the same field.[citation needed]

Career[edit]

Ruppert’s interest developed in music when she started taking piano classes. She went to several music studios in Germany and the United States. After spending some time in the industry, she established a music company Hatching Creatures with a Miami-based DJ and music producer, Julian Velez in 2015. Her first solo track “Just Dance” was released on 20 November 2017 with viewers from Spain, Turkey, Greece, New York, Colombia, Chile, and Argentina.[1][3][4]

Her second track was ranked 5th on Beatport top 10 in 2017. The track is known as “The Damn Thing”. Her next track “Twisted Impulse” was ranked 10th in 2018. In 2019, Ruppert released “iFreak”. It held the 7th rank in Beatport's Best New Hype Minimal/Deep Tech.[1]

She co-founded her second record label, “Funky Creatures,” with Julian Velez in 2019. Rupert’s Hmm holds the 19th rank in Top 100 General of Beatport.[1][4]
