D Policy (born Obakpolor Esemuede; 11 January 1987) is a Nigerian singer and musician from Edo State, Nigeria. He started his musical career as a backup chorister in a local church in the early 2000s.[1] Also known as DP, he was a member of local groups NDMS and DMD before becoming a solo artist in 2016.[2]
D Policy's genre is an aggregation of Afro-fusion, Afrobeat, reggae, and dance hall beats.[3][4] He writes his music and sings in English and Pidgin.
