Adeshina Jelili Oladipupo (born 25 June 1989) popularly known as Aremo Oba is a Nigerian entrepreneur ,founder and CEO of Aremo Oba Autos.[1][2]

Early life and education[edit]

Aremo Oba was born and raised in Agege, Lagos state although he is originally from Ogun state. He attended Police Nursery and Primary School in Ikeja and Lagos State High School. He later furthered to Lagos State Polytechnic but due to his passion for soccer he dropped out.[citation needed]

Career[edit]

He started his career as an active footballer and was nicknamed 'Aremo', reports from The Guardian stated that, he migrated to South Africa to play for Tsunami Football Club using money he saved from playing lottery games and winning so many predictions.[2]

Quitting football, he migrated into the automobile business in 2016 where he started off by going to car sales and auctions in South Africa to buy cars and resell them. In 2019, he officially launched his own company “Aremo Oba Autos”, a leading car dealing company in South Africa.[3][4][5]

Ban on Okada and Keke[6][edit]

In response to the ban on Okada and Keke in Nigeria, Aremo as reported by Business Day challenged the Nigerian government in a statement saying ...

“I would suggest the Lagos State government should restrict the ban to express roads and allow it on streets as some see this as the fastest means of transportation in the state. Also, in terms of people who already invested in that area of business, it would be nice if the government can also provide more means of livelihood to its citizens,” he said

but the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu said they were no going back on the decision taken by the government.[7]
