The Dacia EV is a battery electric crossover city car that will be launched by the Romanian car manufacturer Dacia in 2024. It was teased by an announcement in 2022.
Overview[edit]
It will be an electric vehicle to be launched in 2024, intended to replace the Spring, the cheapest new electric car in Europe, and was announced at a press conference held on February 18, 2022.[3]
At the conference, Renault CEO Luca de Meo revealed that the new electric model will use the CMF-A platform. With a length of only 3,734 millimetres (147 in), the current Spring falls into the European A-segment. Its successor should have roughly the same proportions, as the Renault 5 EV will be based on the CMF-B architecture for larger cars (B-segment).
