Bradley Kearns, who goes by the pseudonym DadMum (stylized DaDMuM), is an Australian social media personality and blogger who rose to fame following a social media post about fulfilling the role of mum for a day that went viral in June 2016. The post was picked up organically by several news sources including Cosmopolitan, Daily Mail, The Telegraph, Yahoo News, US Weekly, and MamaMia. The reception to the post was positive, with many mothers coming out in support of it, praising Kearns for the amusing style of writing and raw emotion of the post.[1][2][3][4][5][6].

Following the viral post, Kearns started a Facebook page titled Dadmum (stylized DaDMuM), and has continued to post stories and anecdotes on his Facebook page and personal website. Of these posts, several more have gone viral including articles on 'body image post pregnancy', 'perfect parents', 'stay at home parents' and a post about 'being too busy to look up from his phone'[7][8][9][10].

Due to the continued exposure from media and growth of his Facebook page, Kearns has garnered a following of over 248,000 people on Facebook.

Since growing his Facebook following, Kearns has been a regular featured writer on parenting website kidspot[11] and featured on their radio station numerous times airing in both Australia and the UK.

Personal life

Kearns was one of seven children growing up in Sydney. Due to family situations he attended 16 public schools from kindergarten to year 12. Following graduation from school, Kearns entered the New South Wales Police Force graduating as a police constable before deciding to transition to a military career and enrolling in the Royal Military College Duntroon[12] He now works in a HR function for a large Not For Profit organisation whilst managing his Social Media and Blog as a hobby writer[13] Kearns married his teenage sweetheart Sarah and they have four children together Buddy, Knox, Finn and Teddy. Buddy was stillborn[14] Kearns is known to be a close friend of children’s television presenter James Rees aka 'Jimmy Giggle'[15]
