Dadu I love You is a 2023 Bhojpuri-language film written and directed by Madhusudhan Sharma and starring Awdhesh Mishra and Anita Rawat. The film is about a retired soldier and his grandson.[1][2][3][4]
Plot summary
Kailash Nath, a retired soldier and village head, shares a deep bond with his grandson, Hanu. After Kailash tells Hanu about his past love for a woman named Suman, Hanu tries to reunite them. Their lives take a turn when they are both met with an accident. While they initially seem to recover, Hanu loses his vision completely. A doctor confirms the news that Hanu's blindness is permanent unless he receives a cornea transplant. Kailash offers to donate his own eyes, but the doctor refuses, explaining that a living person cannot make such a donation. Unwilling to see his grandson live in darkness, He leaves home under a false pretense and commits suicide, leaving a note instructing that his eyes be given to Hanu. The operation is successful, but when Hanu regains his sight, he is shattered by the devastating truth of his grandfather's sacrifice. In the end, a grief-stricken Hanu is left in the care of Suman and a family friend, Charlie.
