Dagmar Krug (2017)

Dagmar Krug is a German pianist and composer.

Biography[edit]

After studying classical piano music, Dagmar Krug worked as a self-employed piano teacher.[1][not in citation given]

2010 she was awarded with a prize for the soundtrack of the film "Aqua" in the short film competition of "Umwelttage Bremen"[2]. In the same year she was a finalist at the short film competition "meinbremen.tv" for the soundtrack of the short film "Der Himmel über Bremen – Ein Making Of" and finished in third place.[3].

In 2011 she founded her own recording label "Dagmar Krug". There she publishes her own compositions, classical recordings[4] and Final Fantasy-cover songs (music for computer games).

Her travels in South Africa, Hawaii, China, India, Morocco and New York have inspired some of her compositions, e.g. the track "Spirit of Africa"[5], part of the soundtrack of the video "Western Cape – South Africa".[citation needed] Niagara Falls inspired the track "Losing my Mind".[citation needed]

In 2015 she composed the soundtrack "Moondance"[6] for the documentary film "Einstein's Erben – Models of Gravity"[7].[not in citation given]
