Dakshin Rifles

Dakshin Rifles is a paramilitary force of India created in 2024. Although it is deemed as a Special Operations unit, it is not affiliated with the Ministry of Defence or Ministry of Home Affairs. Members of Dakshin Rifles, or Dak Rif, are either recruited directly into the unit or brought in as deputation from the Indian Army.

The role of Dakshin Rifles, as stated by the current Commanding Officer, is to “establish communism in India and create an idea of Akhand Bharat amongst its citizens”.

The first unit of Dak Rif i.e. 1st Battalion, Dakshin Rifles or 1 Dak Rif was raised on 2nd April 2024 in Nashik, Maharashtra by Col Aditya Sathaye.
