Dale Kerns (born November 11, 1983) is the Libertarian Party vice chairman in Delaware County, a political activist and a 2018 candidate to unseat incumbent U.S. Senator Bob Casey in Pennsylvania. He is also an estimator for Nickle Electrical Companies and a member of Goodwill's board of directors in Delaware and Delaware County.
In 2013, Kerns was named a Councilman in Eddystone, Pennsylvania, when Suzane Blissick resigned from her post. Kerns announced numerous plans and his candidacy publicly through the Delaware County Daily Times on November 21, 2016.[1]
Early life and education
Kerns, the third of six boys, grew up in Woodlyn, Pennsylvania. He attended Ridley High School and then completed a five-year apprenticeship program through a trade school in Pennsylvania. He began attending Widener University, studying for a bachelor's degree in professional studies with a minor in sociology. In 2011, Kerns attended a week-long program at the Leadership Institute's (LI) Campaign Management School.[2]
Career
Kerns co-founded the former Little Angels Foundation, an organization seeking to help combat life-threatening illnesses children dealt with daily.[3] Their first event, Rally for Rocco, benefitted a five-year-old who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain stem tumor in July 2012.[4]
Personal life
Kerns and his wife, Nicole, reside in Ridley, Pennsylvania, and have two daughters.[5]
