Daler Makhmudov Ametist Ulfatovich at times Daler Ametist (Uzbek: Daler Ametist, Russian: Далер Аметист, born in Samarkand province of Uzbekistan on February 21, 1991) is a Russian rapper, actor, designer, music producer, screenwriter, and film director.[1]

Life and career[edit]

Daler Ametist was born on 21 February 1991 in the town of Uch Kuduk. In 2001, he moved to the historic city of Samarkand.[2][3]

In 1997 he went to high Third school which was gymnasium. In 2004 he was accepted to Samarkand College of Computer Technology & irrigation and drainage, to the faculty of the COF - a computer office. In 2013, he was accepted to the Textile Institute of Industry to the faculty of fashion designer.

He has been writing poetry since he was nine years old. In 2001, he went to the casting in the city of Samarkand and became a member of the project called "favourite of the public", after which he became one of the winners in the "Best Rap Group"

In 2007, he began a solo career, with his song "For Angel".

Daler Ametist is one of the first rap artists from Uzbekistan who gave a concert in Moscow in 2010 at the club "Absolute". In 2011, he made his own music video for the song "Separation" that influenced his further progress in the music industry. This video got into the hands of a large company called "PanTerra Studio" and on August 5, 2011, he signed a contract with "PanTerra Studio" and formed his soloist group "SAHRO".

Also in 2011, he received a nomination for the "Discovery of the Year" award in the "M & TVA awards."[4] In 2012 he took part in the "We - one team, we - one family"[5] and toured throughout the Republic of Uzbekistan. Also in 2012, he won a grant to create a video in the awarding ceremony "M & TVA awards". In 2012, he was a judge in a televised music contest "Zo'r Zo'r Star".[6][7][8] Also in 2012, he took part in the event "Day of the Uzbek culture" in Moscow and in London at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

After the term of the contract with "PanTerra Studios" expired, he began a solo career but continues to support the group "SAHRO" with new band members.

In 2015, he signed a partnership contract with the studio Dara Star Ent.
