1972 graduated High School in Alytus, Lithuania, as Valedictorian.
1972 - Internal Medicine Studies, Kaunas Medical Institute (KMI).
1978 - graduated Summa Cum Laude, KMI. During internship specialized in Internal Medicine at Kaunas Academic Hospital.
1985 June 14 - defended thesis "Rapid atrial transesophageal pacing and its effectiveness in terminating supraventricular paroxysmal tachycardia and atrial flutter".
1989 October 13 - defended thesis "Determination of the type of supraventricular paroxysmal tachycardia and the evaluation of the effectiveness of transesophageal cardiac pacing". This dissertation summarized over 1000 investigated cases of supraventricular paroxysmal tachycardia and obtained recognition for 4 inventions. [1]
