Damian Toofeek Raven (born 30 November 1973) is an American singer and actor. He is best known for his Daytime Emmy® Nominated role as Chadwick Williams in the Amazon Prime original series The Chadwick Journals (TV series). He has starred and appeared in TV series Dexter, Bones, and Zane's Sex Chronicles.[1]
Early life[edit]
Raven was born in San Jose to a Lebanese and Peruvian mother and an African American and Native American father.
Career[edit]
Raven's first professional experience was when he appeared as a model on billboards for Macy's, and Levis.[2] He began touring all over California in fashion shows and appearing in commercials. Seeking to break free of his squeaky clean all-American boy image, he accepted series regular roles on several Showtime adult dramas. In 2005, he landed the only series regular role on the GLAAD Award-winning LGBTQ+ themed anthology series, The DL Chronicles. 15 years later he would be nominated for a Daytime Emmy® ("Outstanding Principal Performance in a Daytime Program") for the same role in the spinoff streaming series, The Chadwick Journals.[3]
