Daniel Kei Takahashi (born in July 1985) is a Japanese businessperson, investor, YouTuber and TV commentator.[1] Takahashi founded PostPrime Inc., and has served as CEO.[2]

Takahashi was born in Toshima, Tokyo in July 1985[3]and raised up in Japan and U.S. Takahashi spent his teenage years in America. In 2003, at the age of 18, Takahashi entered Cornell University. Takahashi has worked in the financial industry for over 10 years, including positions at investment banks and hedge funds in New York. He has also been involved in investments in precious Metals in Southeast Asia.[4][5]Takahashi has managed a SNS and has broadcast programs explaining about investment there and on YouTube by himself.[6]

Career

After graduating from Cornell University, he joined Morgan Stanley in 2006, at the age of 21.[7] After the collapse of Lehman Brothers, he moved to a hedge fund and worked as a trader specializing in arbitrage trading.

In 2011, at the age of 26, he founded a hedge fund with his friends.[8] In 2015, the age of 30, he sold his shares and moved to Singapore.[9] After traveling about 60 countries, he returned to Japan in the fall of 2019 and launched a YouTube channel in early 2020 to explain global finance and economics.[10][11] In September of the same year, he worked as a central figure of operation from the beginning of the investment platform SNS PostPrime, at the founding company that would become PostPrime Inc.[12]

In June 2024, PostPrime Inc., where he serves as representative director, was listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market.[13] In October of the same year, Takahashi established a subsidiary, PostPrime Trading Inc., for the purpose of researching and operating trading platform.[14]

PostPrime and IZANAVI

In September 2021, Takahashi launched PostPrime, an online platform SNS that offered the unique badge system for its users.[13] Takahashi has been focusing on developing AI technology to grow the platform SNS.[15] Takahashi also introduced IZANAVI, an AI investment partner and also AI character that can be used on the SNS.
