Dan Tracey
Biography
Inspired by Elton John, Andrew Gold, Steve Lukather, and Eric Carmen, Tracey started playing drums at 4, keyboards at 5 and guitar at 6.
His first band, Dark Star, with keyboardist Thom Culcasi, drummer Paul Mondazzi, and bassist John Wozniak played a few gigs at his school.
Dan Tracey has been a Nashville resident since 1993 where he lives with his family. Since the move, Dan has continued to perform live and do session work throughout Nashville including sessions on the famed “Music Row”.
Dan has performed/recorded with: Brian Howe and Bad Company, Skunk Baxter, Phil Keaggy, Bob Welch, Mark Slaughter, Paul Taylor (Winger, Steve Perry, Aldo Nova, John Waite), Eric Brittingham (Cinderella), Rocco & The Devils (U2 Opening Band. Vertigo Tour Hawaii 07), Ricky Dee, Savage Bros. Band, Keith Burns (Trick Pony), Jamie LaRitz (Bret Michaels) Rich Herring & Mel Watts (Little River Band) Felix Cavalier (Rascals) Don McLean, David Pack (Ambrosia) John Payne (Asia) Al Stewart, Robert Schwartzman (Rooney) Fernando Perdomo
Dan, original Staind drummer Jon Wysocki and award-winning producer Robert Wright created the new (alternative rock) band “Save the World.” [1] The band’s first two albums titled One & Two were well received in their primary market of Europe and Scandinavia.
