Dance Masterclass is an online subscription-based dance training platform, to learn from star dancers and choreographers[1] from various dance genres. The instructors are international artists such as Daniil Simkin, Polina Semionova, or Sylvie Guillem.[2]
Overview
The company is based in Berlin, Germany, and was founded in 2021 by Caspar Hees and Sarah Hees.[3][4] Caspar Hees studied Cinematography at Konrad Wolf Film University of Babelsberg, in Potsdam, Germany, and was also a ballet dancer professionally for 10 years.[5] Dance Masterclass secured its first round of funding from angel investors in 2021.[6][7][8]
The first class "Pirouettes & Turns" was launched in 2021 with the ballet world’s superstar Daniil Simkin, who is the principal dancer of the American Ballet Theatre and Staatsballett Berlin.[2] Dance Masterclass focuses on topics related to classical ballet, contemporary dance, modern and Choreography.[9]
