Dancehall Brukout Vol. 1 is a compilation album that includes songs from various artists produced by Jamaican born and New York-base reggae producer Adrian Donsome Hanson [1] The album was announced in October 2015 with the release of song Gyal Gyal Gyal by Beenie Man featuring Harry Toddler [2] In February 2016 the album released by R-DM Digital Inc a subsidiary of Donsome Records. Executive producer Adrian ‘Donsome’ Hanson spoke about the project with the Jamaica Observer. "He was given over 50 songs to choose from so he started to go back and forth on some songs, driving around New York and Miami listening to the tracks for about two months. It was a long process to finally cut it down to 14 songs and the skits,"

Among the artistes featured are Demarco, Vybz Kartel, Ding Dong, RDX, Pamputtae, Rage, Konshens, Tiana, Lady Saw, Richie Loop, Beenie Man and Harry Toddler [3] Other producers that contributed to the album are Peter Shady Harrison, Jheneal Jay Crazie Witter, Kerishma Zjdymond Davis, Oneil Clarkie Clark, Ricky Madman Myire, Richard Richie Loop Webb and Earl Trobak Taylor [4]

There was also a bruk out dance competition, to enter all the ‘bruk out’ dancer had to do is make and upload a video of themselves dancing to Demarco’s new song ‘Up Down’ from the Dancehall Brukout Volume 1. Album [5]
