History
Dandelion was launched in November 2021 to make cross-border payment systems available to businesses and customers.[1] It was originally an in-house payment network system created by Ria Money Transfer, a privately-held money transfer company. Ria was acquired by Euronet in 2007, servicing consumer remittances to 42,000 cash pickup locations, mostly in Latin America.[2]
In May 2022, Ria Money Transfer and Rebtel, an international calling service provider in Sweden, announced a partnership on their online platform to enable cross-border payments.[3] Rebtel can now offer money transfer services to customers powered by Euronet's Dandelion network.[4]
