Daniel Banguel
Daniel Banguel is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Banguel is a National Motivational Speaker and a Community Organizer who poses expertise on a wide range of national topics. Banguel is a graduate of Tara High School in East Baton Rouge Parish. He is also a graduate of Northwestern University and Southern University A&M College.
Outreach[edit]
Banguel has been featured as the keynote speaker at various schools and community outreach events and has also given several interviews to local newspaper, radio and TV stations about topics such as: Cancer awareness, HIV Prevention, Continuing Education, Bullying Intervention, and Political Debates. Daniel Banguel is a self-admitted former high school bully who now serves as an Anti-bullying Advocate. Banguel has served the community in many ways to bring awareness to National topics in hopes to bring the community a solution to these problems. Banguel has been a featured guest on many programs which include: a featured panelist on the Louisiana Public Broadcasting televised show, Bullying in Louisiana, a panel who also featured Senator Trent Ward who serves for District 17 in Louisiana, A special guest on a statewide television show called Bullying in Louisiana hosted by Diana Andrews, A featured panelist at the Southern University Division of Continuing Education’s Statewide Conference “Bullying: A Call for Action”, A speaker for the Grandparents raising Grandchildren Annual State Wide Conference, and Banguel has also served as a featured panelist along with many State elected Officials on community projects.
Daniel Banguel, with the desire to spread awareness of the dangers of bullying and intervene has developed a program called E360, a program that is sponsored by Louisiana Educational Advancement Project which he serves as Chairman. E360 is the bullying intervention program committed to ensuring the safety of all students in the East Baton Rouge parish and surrounding areas by strategically training and unifying all schools, faculty, staff, students, parents, and community leaders in the district and stand against bullying, guided by a full circle action plan. Banguel also host a radio show with two colleagues called “Pounding the Pavement” that airs on WTQT 106.1 every Wedneday at 5:30-6:30pm. He is noted for interviewing the first gay couple to be married in Louisiana. Banguel uses his radio show to advocate community issues to his thousands of listeners.
Campaign 2014[edit]
Daniel Banguel was a Democratic candidate for District 2 representative on the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board in Louisiana. He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014.
