Daniel Barnett is an English barrister, radio presenter, presenter and podcaster notable for his work in employment law, HR litigation and commercial law in London.[1] He was called to the bar in 1993 at Lincoln's Inn and operates from Outer Temple Chambers in Temple, London, as of 2022.[2]
He has been a legal expert at LBC radio since 2010, appearing regularly on the radio show 'The Legal Hour with Clive Bull'. Barnett has been the host of his own Saturday-night radio show 'The Legal Hour' on LBC, which airs between 9pm and 10pm, since September 2020.[3]

Barnett graduated from the University of Leeds in 1992 after achieving a 2:1 in an LLB Law degree.[4]
Daniel co-founded CPD Webinars Ltd in 2007, which grew into the UK's leading online training company for lawyers. The company was sold to Thomson Reuters in 2011.[5]
He subsequently founded HR Inner Circle Limited in 2015, a private company providing a network of HR professionals. [6] He is also a founding member of The Virtual Employment Law Academy and acts as 'Course Leader', presenting all modules of their online training courses.[7] Daniel also founded Employment Law Services Ltd, which provides marketing and educational services to employment lawyers.
Daniel is the creator of the Employment Law (UK) mailing list, an emailing list that sends out weekly bulletins to over 30,000 solicitors, barristers, judges, and HR professionals. He has also hosted multiple podcasts, including Employment Law Matters, and has his own legal-based YouTube channel that posts videos informing viewers of legislation, current affairs, and individual rights.[8][9]
His career spans over 25 years and, as of 2022, he has represented a range of clients, including a member of the British Royal Family, multiple FTSE-250 companies, international airlines and NHS Trusts. He is a member of the BAILII advisory board.[10]
Endorsements of Daniel's work come from a range of high-profile businesspeople, television personalities, and UK celebrities including Touker Suleyman and Jeremy Vine. He has presented seminars for the House of Commons, the BBC, Oxford University, HSBC, Barclays Bank, and Ocado.[10]
Barnett has been a regular presenter on LBC Radio since 2010, is often quoted by national broadsheets and has appeared for major broadcasters, such as Sky News, BBC News, and Channel 4 News.[11][12]
