Daniel Burbank (born 2000) is an American journalist and a weekend anchor at WCHS-TV Eyewitness News in Charleston, West Virginia.
Early Life
Burbank was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,[1] and grew up in Delaware County.[2] He had two older siblings and one younger sibling, as well as three nieces and two nephews. As a child, he grew up watching 6abc each night with his family and credits his early exposure to television as his biggest influence.[3] At the age of 5, he toured his first TV studio. He graduated from Haverford High School in June 2018, and is attending Bismarck State College.[4] While in college, Burbank also received recognition from The Ground Truth Project about voter suppression on Native American lands, particularly in North Dakota.[5]
Career
Burbank began working at age 6 as the junior radio announcer for Festival of the Arts (2006-2008) radio show on WCTC from New Brunswick, New Jersey.[3] During his middle school years, Burbank was one of the lead anchors and founding members of 'Ford Focus' the in-school TV Network, broadcasting current events.
Movies and TV
In 2013, Burbank began acting, auditioning for a commercial with WPVI-TV in Philadelphia, but was ultimately removed from the final edit. Burbank continued to pursue acting in high school stage where he was cast in the musical productions of Alice in Wonderland, and Legally Blond. While searching for acting jobs, Burbank also anchored and produced H-Vision News, broadcast to the community, as well. From 2014 to 2018, Burbank was a radio DJ, on WHHS, playing Top 40 and interviewing guests including 93.7 WSTW radio personality Brian Soscia.
Radio
In 2014, Burbank received his first paid acting job during a voice over commercial at Admix Broadcast Service for Woodward Woods Radio 1610 AM. Burbank starred as the lead student in the Drexel University Online commercial (2018). Burbank hit the silver screen starring as a VIP Russian in Creed II (2018), and worked alongside Anya Taylor Joy, as an art student in Glass (2019).[6] Daniel has also been a member of the Society of Professional Journalists since 2015.
KFYR-TV
In 2018, Burbank joined KFYR-TV as the weekend reporter.[4] As a general assignment reporter, Burbank has covered community events, health, business and breaking news. In 2021, Burbank was promoted to an Anchor and producer at the station. He served as the primetime weekend anchor.[4]

Awards
The Mandan Fire Organization recognized Burbank for his reporting on the Sunset Bluffs and Eagle Ridge apartment fires in the summer of 2019 and 2020.
Burbank received an award from the North Dakota AMVETS for his reporting on Gold Star Families who lost loved ones in the Vietnam War.[7]
Personal Life
There's not much known about Burbank's personal life as he keeps a low profile on social media.[8]
