Daniel Lee Gray (born 26 December 1979) is an American travel and food blogger, producer, and businessman based in Seoul, South Korea.[1].

Personal life

Dan is a Korean adoptee that left Korea when he was five and one of the reasons he returned was in hopes of finding his mother and father, which he was able to do. Daniel's first job in Korea was as an English teacher and did the blog as a hobby in his free time.

Daniel has taken the success of his blog to work in video production, tourism and events and the owner of two craft beer restaurants (Brew 3.14π and Brew 3.15π). He was a writer for KBS World's Korean Food Story[2]. Daniel also created a comic to tell stories about Korean food[3]

Career

Daniel watched Anthony Bourdain while a student and called him a pioneer.

In 2008, Daniel started Seoul Eats, his food blog. Daniel has been featured on New York Times[4], Korea JoongAng Daily[5], and culinary show hosted by Andrew Zimmern called Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern.

In 2011, along with his wife, he founded the tour agency 8 Birds Tours and Events Limited in Korea. He's been running the company with his wife ever since.
