Steve Lee (born August 25, 1974[1]) is an artist, actor, singer/songwriter, and brother of comedian Bobby Lee.

Early life[edit]

Lee grew up in Minnesota before his family moved to San Diego, California where he received most of his schooling. He is the son of Jeanie and Robert Lee. He attended Poway High School in Poway, California and wrestled in high school and qualified twice for the state championships.[2][3] After his family's stores came under financial hardship they moved to Arizona, where Lee finished high school and then spent a number of years at Arizona State University.

Career[edit]

After spending decades working in the customer service industry, Lee appeared in roles with his brother Bobby on Mad TV.

David Choe & Mangchi[edit]

Through brother Bobby, Lee met underground artist David Choe who brought him onto his podcast DVDASA (Double Vag Double Anal Sensitive Artist) with co-host Asa Akira.[4] In 2014, Choe started a punk band Mangchi, with Steve Lee as the frontman.[5][6] Mangchi has toured America and appeared in Steve Aoki's fashion show in 2017[7][8] as well as the 2018 Grizzly Fest.[9][10] Steve Aoki has also collaborated with Mangchi releasing remixes of the group's songs.[11][12]

The Steebee Weebee Show[edit]

Inspired by his brother, Lee started a podcast called The Steebee Weebee Show. The format usually follows a musical intro and guest interview that lasts for around an hour followed by a musical animation created by Lee and later in collaboration with his girlfriend.
