In early 2019, Daniel Halaby began working on his debut album, Bluish Purple, which was set to be released the following year. The dual concept singles, Love Sick Dream (2020) and Hey Summer (2020) were released just weeks before his debut album, Bluish Purple (2020) under the self-titled record label, Daniel Halaby.[3][4][5] Following the album's release, Daniel Halaby gained attention in late 2020 after his second single, "Hey Summer" was featured on Spotify's algorithmic playlists.[6] His music has since been featured on college radio stations, including KUCI.[7][8]
