Michael Hunt (born June 19, 1993), better known by his stage name HitTown, is an African American hip hop recording artist and songwriter.
Early life[edit]
HitTown, born on June 19, 1993, in Los Angeles, California. He grew up in the Outpost Estates neighborhood located in the Hollywood Hills. He started rapping in the early 2000, when he came up with his first stage name Mike Na$ty, Which was later changed to HitTown. His rap name comes from two sources. "Hit" coming from in-house studio associates and friends who would always call him Hit because of music he was able to write during studio sessions. "Town" was taken from the legendary Motown music group (but for many years HitTown would be still be known as Mike)
Career[edit]
His writing career became public early 2013 when he hooked up with rapper Jay Rock of TDE and local rapper Nephew at the Paramount recording studios where he wrote the song titled "Hood Rich" for the TDE rapper. HitTown later released his debut solo single in 2015 entitled "Whoa", produced by Rascal which gained exposure from the cosign of Black Rob who recorded the original "Whoa!" song released in the early 2000.
Before HitTown picked up music he was a dancer for one of the biggest dance crazes "Jerkin/Doguie'" In we which he was apart of dance group The Ranger$ and The U.C.L.A. Jerk Kings which they went viral and starred in celebrity music videos as guest appearances which included New Boyz - You're a jerk, The Bangz - Boys with tattoos & "Found My Swag" along with many more including videos of superstars Chris Brown and Tyga. During the time HitTown, better known as Michael Hunt during the time was featured in an interview for Ny Times which featured his dance group The U.C.L.A. Jerk Kings. The Ranger$ would later feature on television show 106 & park during the midst of HitTown and couple other members calling quits to branch off with his solo career, talk about timing! .
