Michael Hunt (born June 19, 1993), better known by his stage name HitTown, is an African American hip hop recording artist and songwriter.

Early life

HitTown, born on June 19, 1993, in Los Angeles, California, grew up in the Outpost Estates neighborhood located in the Hollywood Hills. He started rapping in the early 2000s, when he came up with his first stage name, Mike Na$ty, which was later changed to HitTown. His rap name comes from two sources. "Hit" comes from in-house studio associates and friends who would always call him Hit because of the music he was able to write during studio sessions. "Town" was taken from the legendary Motown music group (but for many years HitTown would still be known as Mike).

Career

His writing career became public in early 2013 when he linked up with rapper Jay Rock of TDE and local rapper Nephew at the Paramount recording studios where he wrote the song titled "Hood Rich" for the TDE rapper. HitTown later released his debut solo single in 2015 entitled "Whoa", produced by Rascal, which gained exposure from the cosign of Black Rob who recorded the original "Whoa!" song released in the early 2000s.

Before HitTown picked up music he was a dancer for one of the biggest dance crazes "Jerkin/Dougie'" in which he was apart of dance group The Ranger$ and The U.C.L.A. Jerk Kings which went viral and starred in celebrity music videos as guest appearances which included New Boyz - You're a jerk, The Bangz - Boys with tattoos & "Found My Swag" along with many more including videos of superstars Chris Brown and Tyga. During that time, HitTown, better known as Michael Hunt, was featured in an interview for NY Times which featured his dance group, The U.C.L.A. Jerk Kings. The Ranger$ would later feature on the television show 106 & park during the midst of HitTown and a couple other members calling it quits to branch off with his solo career. Talk about timing! .

Personal life

HitTown was dating singer/actress Jacque Rae of girl group Forever. Their love definitely was not a private one Jacque Rae's Tweets
