Daniel Itse Amah (born 7 July 1981) is a Nigerian police officer who served as Divisional Police Officer DPO in Nassarawa, Kano State. He is known for commitment to integrity, his exemplemantry act of rejecting substancitial bribe of $200,000 earned him recognition and was promote to the rank Assistant commissioner of police in charge of operation in Kano State Police Command. Early life and career

Itse was born and rose Jos East, Plateau State. He joined the Nigerian Police Force as a Cadet Inspector in 2002 and currently serves as a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) at Bompai police station in Nasarawa Council, Kano State.[3] Itse oversaw the arrest and prosecution of Ali Zaki, along with a few other police officers, in a case of armed robbery totaling Three hundred and twenty million five hundred thousand Naira, (N320,500million), the suspect offered $200,000 to the him to kill the case, through a bank staff. The offer was rejected, the bank staff was promptly arrested which led to the arrest of the suspect.[4][5]

Daniel Amah also received a commendation from Inspector General of Police Usman Alkali Baba for turning down the bribe and was promoted to the rank of Assistance Commissioner.
