Daniel Vladař[1] (born 20 August 1997) is a Czech professional hockey goaltender. He is Currently playing for the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League (AHL) as a prospect to the Boston Bruins of National Hockey League (NHL). Vladař was drafted in the 3rd round (75th overall) by the Bruins in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

Playing career[edit]

During the 2015–16 season Vladař played for the Chicago Steel of the United States Hockey League (USHL) where he appeared in 30 games and posted a 2.31 Goals against average (GAA) and a .920 Save percentage.[2] In the 2016-17 season he split his time between the Providence Bruins in the AHL where he only played 8 games and posted a 2.62 GAA and a .921 Save percentage and the Atlanta Gladiators of the ECHL where he played 18 games.[3] During the 2017-18 season he spent most of his time in the ECHL playing 41 games and only played 4 games in the AHL posting a 2.23 GAA and a .924 save percentage in those 4 games.

Vladar has won two medals representing Czech Republic. He won silver at the IIHF World U18 Championships in 2014 as the backup goalie[4] and then won another silver medal at the 2014 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament once again as the backup only playing 16:51 in his only game.[5]
