Daniel Anthrop (born May 29, 1993) is a former American football wide receiver. He played college football at Purdue, and went undrafted in 2016. In 2017, Anthrop becamea police officer in Lafayette, Indiana and, in 2018, became the wide receivers and kick returners coach for the Lafayette Central Catholic High School football team.

College career[edit]

Anthrop played at Purdue University from 2012 to 2015.[2] During his career he played in 41 games and caught 113 passes for 1,384 yards and 9 touchdowns.[3]

Professional career[edit]

Anthrop was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Indianapolis Colts after the 2016 NFL Draft.[5] He was cut on August 29, 2016.[6] In January 2017, Anthrop signed with the Montreal Alouettes.[7] On June 18, 2017, Anthrop was released by the Alouettes.

Anthrop subsequently became a police officer in Lafayette, Indiana[8] and, on March 27, 2018, was hired as the wide receivers and kick returners coach for his high school alma mater, Lafayette Central Catholic.[1]
