Danny Burns (born 14 December 1993) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays for Gartcairn.

Club career[edit]

Burns came through the youth system at Celtic but left the club without making a single first team appearance.[1]

Following his release from the Bhoys, he joined Airdrieonians and made his league debut in a 3–2 defeat away to Forfar on 27 August 2011.[2]

His last appearance for the Diamonds was in a 11-0 Scottish Cup victory against Gala Fairydean Rovers on 19 November 2011. He assisted Derek Holmes' 81st-minute goal in the game.[3]

Following a loan spell at Lanark United, he moved to the club permanently in 2013.[4][5][6][7]

He was on the move again in 2014 and signed for Arthurlie.[8][9][10][11]

After one season at Arthurlie, Burns signed for Shotts Bon Accord in 2015.[12][13][14][15][16][17][18]

Following an impressive spell at Shotts Bon Accord, Burns signed for Stirling Albion in 2022.[19][20][21]

Burns struggled to break into the Binos' first team squad and left the club in 2023 after just 7 appearances.[22]

He signed for Gartcairn in January 2023.[23]
