Daphne Jones (born March 1957 in Harvey, Illinois) is a Fortune 500 executive,[1][2][3][4] independent board member, entrepreneur, author,[3] and public speaker living in Miami, Florida, USA.
Career[edit]
Jones began her lengthy career at IBM, working in various roles in sales and systems engineering.[5][6] Following her 16-year stint with IBM, Jones' next big calling was the position of IT director for Public Service Electric & Gas, Newark, NJ.[5] Having gained experience in her first major managerial role, Jones was then hired by Johnson & Johnson where she primarily worked as Chief Information Officer.[7] She moved on to her next position in Lake Forest where she held the title of Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Hospira, Inc.[8][9][5]
In 2014, Jones directed the global team of GE HealthCare as Senior Vice President and Senior Executive.[8][10]
Currently, she works as a board member for three companies: Masonite International Corporation, AMN Healthcare, and the Barnes Group.[6][11][12][not in citation given]
She also serves as the CEO for a company founded by her called The Board Curators,[13][14] an organisation that prepares senior leaders for paid board service.[12][15]

Across her career, Jones has received a number of awards and honors. Most notably in 2016, she won the Caribbean Luminary Award from the American Foundation of the University of the West Indies.[16][not in citation given] She was also named one of Illinois' Most Powerful and Influential Women by the National Diversity Council as well as Computerworld Premier 100 CIO.[17]
Jones is named as one of most influential AA Directors in 2021 by Savoy Magazine.[18] She is also a member of the NACD, Accenture Cybersecurity Council, the Digital Directors Network (DDN), and the ELC.[18][17]
Jones is a nominee for the HMG Strategy's 2023 Global Leadership Institute Award.[19][20]
