Darrel the Barrel is a construction barrel from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On October 8th, 2019, Darrel was discovered to have washed ashore at Pere Marquette in Muskegon, Michigan.[1] He was given his name by the City of Muskegon Government Facebook account.

Darrel quickly became a minor local celebrity as the City of Muskegon Government Facebook account began posting photos of him visiting local landmarks, viewing local art, and patronizing various local businesses.<ref>[2] The city of Milwaukee responded on Facebook, saying "we're not sure how Darrel ended up in the Lake. The Barrel sisters Carol, Meryl, and Cheryl have been worried sick about him and they are thankful to know he is enjoying a little vacation from the hard work a barrel does for the City." On October 18th, 2019, the city of Muskegon announced that some members of their staff had visited Milwaukee, and gifted Milwaukee a traffic cone of Muskegonite origin they had named "Ramon".
