Darshana Banik is an Indian model, actress who mainly appeared in Bengali films, known as Tollywood film Industry. She debuted in the movie "Khwato" in 2015, as cameo, directed by Kamaleshwar Mukherjee.She received critical praise for her performance in the Asian Paints “ Pujo Elo Phire”, which garnered her acting skills among other accolades. Darshana later starred in the title logo film of Colors Bangla & also in the television daily soap “ Robi Takurer Golpo” directed by Abhijit Guha & Sudeshna Roy. She is the lead in the “Benny Dayal” Music video “ Yeh Dil Hai Bekarar” which is released on the social media and became trending as soon as it was launched.
Early life and education[edit]
Darshana was born on August 15, in Kolkata. She was educated at Salt Lake Municipal School & her higher studies with English honors from East Calcutta Girls College. After that, Darshana won Miss Photogenic Beauty of Kolkata Kolkata.[1]
Career[edit]
Darshana began her Modeling career in 2013 when she won the Miss Photogenic Beauty of Kolkata. [1] After that She had walked the Ramps for all renowned Brands nationally & Interantionally. Darshana began her film career in 2015 with Kamaleshwar Mukherjee's movie Khawto.[2], she appeared in Flames, in the role of a lady passenger which Nominated for Cannes Short Film Festival & Boston short film Festival 2017.She also acted in the horror thriller film “ JOJO” directed by Argha deep Chatterjee. She is also a part of the film Aschhe Abar Shabor in the year 2017 and also as a major character of the movie Aami Ashbo Phirey in 2018 [3][4] In 2017, she was cast in a Telegu new release Aatagallu. as a lead directed by Paruchuri Murali.[5][6]
